We approach removal as a last resort. Before we take a tree down, we assess whether preservation is possible. When removal is genuinely necessary — dead trees, storm damage, hazardous lean, severe disease, construction conflicts — we handle it safely, efficiently, and cleanly.
When Tree Removal Makes Sense
- Dead or structurally compromised trees: A dead tree loses tensile strength rapidly. What looks stable can fail without warning, especially under wind or ice loading.
- Severe pest or disease damage: Emerald ash borer with greater than 50% canopy decline, advanced oak wilt, severe root rot, or systemic decline that makes preservation impractical.
- Hazardous lean or root failure: Structural root damage, heaving soil, or lean that puts a tree on a collision course with a structure, utility, or occupied area.
- Construction conflicts: Trees that cannot be preserved through construction protection or that are in direct conflict with permitted site development.
- End of useful life: Trees that have reached the end of their safe service life and cannot be maintained at an acceptable risk level.
How We Remove Trees in Columbus
We use trained climbers and rigging equipment to remove trees in sections, even in tight residential spaces with structures, fencing, pools, and utilities nearby. Every removal job has a plan before the first cut. Chip and haul is included on all jobs — we leave your property clean. Stump grinding is available as an add-on and is almost always more cost-effective when done at the same visit.
We are equipped for crane-assisted removals when site conditions require it — large trees over structures, multiple large removals on a single property, or situations where ground access is severely limited.

Tree Removal Throughout Columbus and Suburbs
We handle tree removal throughout Columbus, Dublin, Worthington, Westerville, Upper Arlington, New Albany, Granville, and Grandview Heights. Urban tree removal in Central Ohio frequently involves tight spaces, overhead utilities, fencing, and neighboring structures — this is our standard work environment. Most residential tree removal jobs are completed in a half-day to full day depending on size and complexity.
Emergency Tree Removal
Emergency tree removal — a tree on a house, a downed tree blocking access after a storm — is available to existing Arborist Solutions clients. If you are a new client with an urgent situation that is not an immediate safety emergency, contact us and we will assess it as quickly as our schedule allows. For life-safety emergencies, please call 911 first.

An arborist consulting visit gives you a clear, independent answer — from someone who is not trying to sell you a removal. We will walk the tree with you, explain what we see, and give you an honest recommendation. Many trees we assess do not need to come down.
